The MUC SUMMIT GmbH – the company and driving force behind all our activities – was initiated by UnternehmerTUM GmbH, Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship gGmbH, and German Entrepreneurship GmbH in 2015. Over the last several years, we have established ourselves as Munich’s main ecosystem builder, strategic partner, and facilitator of high-level networking opportunities.
With The Munich Innovation Ecosystem, our company strengthens the strategic development of Munich’s innovation landscape by connecting and enabling key stakeholders. We put the spotlight on the Munich ecosystem both nationally and internationally.
Our by-invite-only events and workshops such as MUST – The Munich Summit and MUST Satellites including MUST 3D Printing and MUST Healthcare, facilitate high-level deal-making for Science, Startups, and Industry Leaders. Our Dinner Crawl event has become famous for fostering exclusive connections between the right stakeholders in an ideal setting, bringing new partnerships to life.
With The Munich Innovation Ecosystem we bring together Munich’s key stakeholders to foster new ties between industry, science, government, startups, and ecosystem players. At every stage, we create opportunities to bolster entrepreneurial and innovation exchanges in, from and for Munich.
We set the agenda for you and your ecosystem and drive further strategic development through the creation of innovation-focused workshops. We connect international stakeholders to Munich’s innovation ecosystem and unlock access to decision-makers, leaders, and talents. With the help of our carefully refined matchmaking process, we know how to put the relevant players together at the same table, whether in highly exclusive settings or public events. For us, it’s easy to prove why Munich was chosen as the world’s most liveable city (2018) when we showcase Munich’s unique innovative, open-minded, and diverse community through all our activities. We offer a wide range of Services – reach out to us and we’re happy to discuss details with you in person.
Based on the experience and the network of MUST, we implemented a new strategy process in 2019 to push the development of Munich’s entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem forward. As ecosystem builders and connectors in the entrepreneurial and innovation scene, we focused on a cross-sectoral network with an active and coordinated innovation community. We organized and orchestrated three workshops with around 45 C-level participants from government, industry, academia, and startups.
MUST – The Munich Summit is an annual 3-day event focusing on bringing together tech startups from all over the world, key experts from the tech community, venture capitalists and representatives from science and academia. MUST is the perfect setting for discussions to take place on eye level, for matches to be made, and for amazing new deals to take off.
By presenting interested minds the opportunity to enter Munich’s rich entrepreneurial ecosystem in an exclusive, intimate setting with around 400 participants, we deliver a unique experience that will expand your network, foster collaboration with top industry players, and make innovative ideas reality.
In addition to MUST – The Munich Summit, the MUC SUMMIT GmbH, together with EOS GmbH, Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship gGmbH and UnternehmerTUM GmbH, launched the first MUST 3D Printing satellite event in 2016. With 120 participants, we helped to promote startups in Additive Manufacturing via targeted networking and stimulate new business models for industrial 3D Printing technology.
Against a backdrop of engaging panel discussions, pitches and networking spaces, the startups had the chance to meet and connect twice a year with important key players from the Additive Manufacturing scene.
In 2017 the MUC SUMMIT GmbH established another interdisciplinary ecosystem in partnership with UnternehmerTUM GmbH, Klinikum rechts der Isar and KPMG AG: MUST Healthcare, focusing on the healthcare sector.
In partnership with the EXIST Startup Germany Program, in 2017 the MUC SUMMIT GmbH welcomed 10 Israeli startups to Munich by organizing a three-day visitor program. This program helped the visitors build new bridges to Munich’s startup ecosystem and provided a platform to pitch in front of entrepreneurship experts.
As the ecosystem partner for Munich the MUC Summit GmbH supported the Startup Guide Munich Vol. 1 and 2 in 2017 and 2019. Startup Guide is a publishing and media company that produces guidebooks and online content to help entrepreneurs navigate and connect with different startup scenes across the world.
By choosing an advisory board, creating the content, and plugging in to the Munich ecosystem, we ensured the creation of a guidebook that navigates Munich’s startup ecosystem. For the launch of the guidebook, we organized a launch event, for which 120 attendees were invited to connect within each other and hear interesting panel discussions about Munich’s innovation ecosystem featuring speakers from SAP, BMW Startup Garage, Google, Inveox or Mindspace.
